Safety

There are various ways of thinking about safety. We consider the following three concepts to be particularly important in terms of "safety" in our company.

  • Occupational Health and Safety
  • Disaster Prevention Measures
  • Environmental Preservation

Occupational Health and Safety

Our main objective is to create a safe work environment so that employees can work in good health and with peace of mind, thereby improving employee retention, job satisfaction, productivity, and business performance. Most importantly is the reduction of the number of occupational accidents to zero, so that employees can return home to their families with smiles on their faces and in good health after finishing work. Our initiatives include a minor incident reporting system that we call “hiyari-hatto”, various patrols and checks, and 5S activities.

Disaster Prevention Measures

Compared to ordinary households, chemical plants much more routinely handle potentially hazardous substances and hazardous materials.
In the unlikely event of a fire or explosion, the impact on not only the company's operations, but also on society and the local community is immeasurable. Therefore, it is very important to use and manage the substances being handled with the correct knowledge and in the correct manner.
In preparation for emergencies, we routinely conduct fire drills with the city fire department and regularly perform disaster prevention drills, emergency evacuation drills and first aid drills.

Environmental Preservation

There are a variety of emissions associated with factory operations, including factory wastewater, exhaust gases, noise, and waste. Companies are obligated to ensure that their factory production activities do not impact the global environment. There are also strict regulations by law, and penalties may be imposed for violations. Therefore, factory wastewater, exhaust gas, and noise discharged outside the factory are regularly measured to ensure that they are within the specified values and have no impact on the environment.
